Inducement of Confusion as a Technique for Covert Hypnosis
Covert Hypnosis uses the inducement of confusion as a method to make the covert hypnosis “take.” The confusion will allow the hypnotist to do certain things that they would not normally do to one who is not confused if there had been a stricter surveillance on what is going on around. Those who apply the technique sneaks past these barriers and insert their own suggestions into the unconscious level of the mind; where the self of the subject can be manipulated into saying and doing things according to the manipulations of the hypnotist.
These are all done without the consent of the subject; neither do they have any idea of what is going on. They literally think and feel that what they are doing and saying are being done voluntarily because of their own strength of will. They do not know that the suggestion was slipped in by another person.
