Taking a foreign trip can be exciting. I never thought of what the best exchange rates were when converting currency until a friend of mine asked me what I was going to do about changing my pounds to American dollars. I assumed that all exchange rates were the same, but I was informed that it can vary depending on what type of market that company uses. Looking online allowed me to know what the exchange rate for the currency was on that given date and allowed me to be able to judge if the rate that was being offered was fair or if I could get a better rate else where.
