What are AED – Anti-Epileptic Drugs
AED – Anti-Epileptic Drugs are drugs for people who have epilepsy. These drugs are the treatment for the symptom of epilepsy which is seizure. AED or anti-epileptic drugs are the first treatment option that your doctor will tell you, once you are accurately diagnosed with epilepsy. These drugs have been used for a long time, but until now, there is still no AED drug that can’t cause side-effects. These drugs cannot also stop the cause of epilepsy as it is not known yet, what it can do is to decrease the intensity of seizure when it attacks and control it from coming back again.
