Agent Employment

The state is hiring tax agents Sydney for their income tax assessment office. A bachelor’s degree is required, but a master’s degree in accounting or economics is preferred for the position. Five years of experience in a government tax office is preferred, or 7 years of experience with a private accounting firm. The agent must be licensed and registered with the state. The agent reviews all the taxpayer information which includes assets and liabilities. Investigations may be ordered once the issues are analyzed and the agent determines it is warranted. Tax liability is determined for each taxpayer based on the reported finances.
